Bao Ngoc named among Miss World 2026 favourites ahead of competition
VOV.VN - Vietnamese beauty queen Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc has repeatedly been named among the leading contenders for the Miss World 2026 crown by several international beauty pageant websites ahead of the competition, which will be hosted in Vietnam for the first time.
In its latest prediction, beauty pageant website Sash Factor ranked the Vietnamese representative third, behind Brazil's Gabriela Botelho and the contestant from Chile. Representatives from Hungary and Botswana rounded out the top five.
Bao Ngoc has also featured prominently in other international rankings alongside contestants from Chile, the Czech Republic, Botswana and Brazil, raising expectations for her performance on home soil.
Ahead of the competition, Bao Ngoc expressed her gratitude for the support she has received from fans throughout her preparations.
“I am truly grateful for all the love, encouragement and good wishes I have received. Every message, every hug and every expression of confidence has given me even greater motivation as I begin this journey,” she said.
Representing the host country, Bao Ngoc said she hopes not only to perform well in the competition but also to introduce Vietnam's culture, people and heritage to international audiences.
Miss World 2026 will take place from August 9 to September 5, bringing together more than 100 contestants from countries and territories worldwide.
During the nearly month-long competition, contestants will participate in a series of challenges and cultural activities in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Khanh Hoa before the grand finale in Nha Trang.
