VOV.VN - Hanoi is showcasing its cultural, heritage and tourism offerings at a major fair in Tianjin, introducing travel products and seeking opportunities to develop two-way visitor programmes with Chinese partners.

Covering 100 square metres at the China Cultural Industries and Tourism Expo 2026, the Hanoi booth introduces the capital’s cultural and heritage values, cuisine, people and signature tourism products.

The products highlight the capital’s signature experiences, including itineraries covering the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi’s Old Quarter, as well as food tours, night-time experiences and visits to Bat Trang craft village.

Hanoi’s businesses are also introducing multi-destination itineraries linking the capital with major destinations across Vietnam, including the Hanoi-Ninh Binh-Ha Long route and a Central Vietnam itinerary covering Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue.

They are promoting tours from the capital to popular destinations in China such as Beijing, Hangzhou, Wuzhen and Shanghai, creating further opportunities for two-way tourism cooperation.

Other programmes combine cultural and heritage attractions with experiences of local life, offering visitors a broader view of Hanoi beyond its well-known landmarks.

On September 4, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang will attend a forum and introduce Hanoi’s tourism. A promotional video featuring the capital’s tourism offerings will also be screened periodically on the organisers’ main display.

During the September 3-6 fair, Hanoi’s tourism businesses plan to meet Chinese partners to exchange views on market demand, develop travel products, connect services and explore programmes to bring Chinese visitors to Hanoi.

Earlier, on September 1, a similar programme was held at the Beijing Feitian Hotel in Beijing. Vietnamese enterprises met with more than 150 Chinese partners, focusing on market demand, product development, service connectivity, and the organisation of programmes to bring Chinese tourists to Hanoi.

Connecting with major tourism hubs such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Chongqing helps to open up tourism routes, making it easier for Chinese travelers to choose Hanoi as part of their journey to explore Vietnam. Through activities in China, Hanoi continues to intensify in-depth tourism promotion, leverage businesses as bridges to boost visitor exchanges and collaborative product development, thereby contributing to making tourism cooperation between Hanoi and China become effectively.

China is currently the largest source market for Vietnam's tourism industry. Among Vietnam's ten largest source markets over the past eight months, China ranked first with 3.54 million arrivals, accounting for approximately 22.3% of the total number of international visitors.
