VOV launches Korean-language programme

VOV.VN -A Korean-language programme by Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV Korean) made its debut at a ceremony held at VOV headquarters in Hanoi on December 18.
The specialized programme aims to serve Korean nationals, the Korean community within Vietnam, and other Korean speakers throughout the country.
 
A number of art performances are also held at the ceremony, including Chiec Khan Pieu (Pieu Scarf).
Along with traditional Korean dance performances by students from the National University of Hanoi.
The event draws the participation of Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications (MIC) Hoang Vinh Bao, VOV President Nguyen The Ky, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Dohyun, among other guests.
 
Korean Singer Kim Joon Ji, who currently works as an advisor for VOV Korean, performed at the event.

VOV President Ky says the Korean-language programme expresses VOV’s and Vietnam’s respect for the relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea. The airing of the programme also demonstrates the development and importance of the relationship that exists between the two countries across multiple fields.
During the event Yoon Sangho, Chairman of the Korean Association in Hanoi, believed that VOV Korean will meet the needs of both Vietnamese and Korean audiences as well as Korean language lovers from China, Japan, and Russia.
Shin Geonho, Director of Gwangju Foreign Language Network (GFN), recalls the development and achievements of VOV in recent years. He also expresses his hope that GFN-VOV cooperation will be strengthened further through the programme.

The VOV Korean programme comes on air daily from 7am to 8am, 6pm to 7pm, and 11pm to midnight on FM 105.5 MHz in Hanoi,105.7mhz in Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, and also available through vovworld.vn.
