800 delegates from 40 countries to attend education conference in Hanoi
VOV.VN - Around 800 delegates from 40 countries and territories are expected to attend an international education cooperation conference in Hanoi in October, where policymakers, educational institutions and businesses will discuss policy, technology and new models of collaboration.
The International Education Conference & EdTech Exhibition (IECEE 2026), slated for October 8-9, will feature policy exchanges, thematic discussions, cooperation networking and an exhibition on education and educational technology, according to the Ministry of Education and Training,
Among delegates having registered to attend the event are representatives of universities, educational organisations and international technology and education companies such as Qualcomm, Boeing, Google, Meta, Amazon, ETS, Microsoft, Intel, Cambridge and Oxford.
The conference aims to provide a platform for domestic and international partners to discuss shared challenges, exchange experience, connect resources and explore new forms of cooperation suited to the development of education in the digital era.
The programme will comprise a plenary session and four thematic discussions over the two days, focusing on international cooperation and digital transformation in general education; internationalisation and digital transformation in higher education; building a digital ecosystem for vocational education; and the Global Alliance for Children initiative.
Discussions will centre on four areas: developing education infrastructure and data systems that are comprehensive, interoperable and secure; renewing teaching, learning and assessment methods; using AI safely and responsibly while strengthening teachers’ digital capabilities; and promoting cooperation in jointly researching, developing and scaling up new educational solutions.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, rapid advances in artificial intelligence, big data, digital learning platforms and other emerging technologies are directly affecting teaching, administration, research and human resource development. This creates a need for stronger links between schools, businesses, experts and international organisations to jointly seek solutions.
The conference is also set to feature the signing and exchange of memoranda of understanding involving governments, ministries, agencies, educational institutions and businesses, helping connect education and research needs with domestic and international expertise, resources and technology solutions.
The education and educational technology exhibition currently has 70 registered booths, with partners from the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada and Australia, as well as the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) expected to participate. More than 30 of the booths are from technology businesses, corporations, universities in Vietnam and abroad, and international educational organisations.
The exhibition is expected to give educational institutions direct access to new models, methods and technologies, while providing opportunities to seek partners for training, research and technology transfer programmes.
