VOV.VN- A delegation representing the Party Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on August 28, ahead of the 81st National Day (September 2).

Prominent among the participants were Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and Standing Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.

The ceremony was also attended by former senior Party and State leaders, alongside current officials from central ministries, departments, and organizations.

The delegation's wreath bore the inscription: "Everlasting gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh."

Before the sacred soul of President Ho Chi Minh, the leaders expressed their profound gratitude and paid tribute to his immense contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. He dedicated his entire life to the country and the people, leading the Party and nation to glorious victories.

Eighty-one years ago, on September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

He affirmed: "Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence, and in fact, it has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese nation is determined to mobilize all its physical and mental strength, lives, and resources to safeguard this freedom and independence."

The entire Party, military, and people of Vietnam remain committed to pursuing the path chosen by President Ho Chi Minh, creatively applying his ideology to elevate the nation's revolutionary cause to new heights.

Following the mausoleum visit, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street in Hanoi, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom. The wreath bore the phrase: "Everlasting gratitude to Heroes and Martyrs."

On the same morning, delegations from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, alongside officials from Hanoi City, also laid wreaths and paid tribute at the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs.
