Vietnamese peacekeepers hold mid-autumn festival for children in Abyei

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese peacekeeping force operating in the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) has launched a number of meaningful activities in celebration of the mid-autumn festival for African children.

Vietnamese peacekeepers hold a programme aimed at creating a joyful atmosphere for African children during the mid-autumn festival.

Around 200 African children take part in the event.

During the function, children eagerly enjoy meaningful art performances and listen to stories about the festive event.

Children have the chance to sample jelly, pumpkin sweet soup, and candy in celebration of the mid-autumn festival.

They are also guided to play games during the occasion.

Traditional Vietnamese star-shaped lanterns and toys made from recycled plastic and paper are special gifts given to African children.

Vietnamese peacekeepers present gifts to 10 students who passed university exams this year.

The event helps to bring joy to underprivileged children and share Vietnamese culture with the wider international community.
