Heavy rain has caused flooding in thousands of homes around Hoa Trach commune of central Quang Tri province

According to the Ca Roong border guard station, torrential rain at the entrance to Co Do village of Thuong Trach commune in Quang Tri has caused water levels to rise, submerging many homes.

Ca Roong border guard station has co-ordinated efforts with local authorities to evacuate two of the nine households in A Ky village to the community house.

A warning has been issued about the heavy rainfall, which has the potential to lead to flooding, flash floods, and landslides.

In Ha Ly village in Hoa Trach commune, the water level is high, posing danger to residents and tourists.

In central Nghe An province, sea water levels range from two metres to over three metres after typhoon Kajiki makes landfall between Ha Tinh and Nghe An.

From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the morning of August 25 in Cua Lo beach area, there are waves two to three metres high, creating white foam.

Currently, the Cua Lo beach area experiences strong winds, with residents forced to stay indoors to avoid the storm.

The roads around Nghe An and Ha Tinh are left deserted. Local people are urged not to go out from 11 a.m. on August 25 in order to ensure safety.
