The data compiled on March 4 indicates that the air quality index (AQI) of Hanoi at 10:30 a.m. reached 181, representing a level very unhealthy for humans.

The monitoring station also stated that the air quality in Nam Tu Liem district was at a hazardous level as of 7 a.m. on March 4.

The morning of March 4 witnessed Hanoi engulfed in fog amid the air quality index (AQI) recording a bad level in the capital.

According to experts, drizzly conditions on the night of March 3 has left a large amount of moisture in the air which has contributed to creating a layer of fog.

Air pollution combined with fog has the potential to limit visibility, thereby negatively affecting people’s health, especially those in sensitive groups.
