For its DIFF 2026 performance, France’s Lux Factory POK 2.0 team will celebrate Da Nang through a fireworks display inspired by the city’s history, culture, and vibrant spirit. Team representative Arnaud Fouriau shares the performance draws inspiration from Vietnam’s traditional values and cultural identity, while highlighting Da Nang’s dynamic growth, vitality, and milestones that have helped earn it the reputation as Vietnam’s most livable city.

Returning to the festival for the second time, Colonel Tran Anh Manh from Vietnam Team 2 says the team will create a fireworks display featuring the image of the palm tree - a symbol closely associated with Phu Tho, the ancestral land of the Hung Kings. According to him, the palm tree represents the resilience, determination, and enduring spirit of the people of the ancestral land.

DIFF 2026 kicks off on May 30 and runs until mid-July. This year's festival themed "Da Nang-United Horizons" brings together 10 fireworks teams, including some of the world's leading teams. The firework competitions on the Han River offer residents and tourists a spectacular feast of sound and light.

All participating teams have made thorough preparations in various techniques, aiming to leave a lasting impression on spectators. In the photo, Lux Factory POK 2.0 members are installing fireworks at the firing range on the west bank of the Han River.

Under the early summer heat, hundreds of fireworks racks and wiring systems are carefully inspected. Every detail is checked multiple times before the official launch.

According to Colonel Tran Anh Manh, the Vietnam 2 team spend about six months preparing for their return to this year's festival.

Based on the festival's main theme, Vietnam 2 select the music before designing the fireworks choreography and arranging the firing sites to achieve the best visual effects. Team members say all key preparations have now been completed, and audiences can look forward to a performance rich in Vietnamese cultural identity.

Participants are putting the finishing touches to the DIFF’s second performance night.

Beyond a technical competition, the “Heritage” night is expected to deliver cultural stories told through light and sound, adding to the unique appeal of DIFF 2026.

According to organisers, tens of thousands of spectators and tourists are expected to gather in central Da Nang on the evening of June 6 to watch the performances by the two teams.
