The opening ceremony of the Vietnam Defense Expo 2024 will take place at Gia Lam airport on the outskirts of Hanoi on December 19 with the participation of regular armed forces.

As many as 53 delegations from 36 countries and territories worldwide have confirmed their participation in the expo, according to the organising committee.

The air force will also exhibit fighter jets, helicopters, rockets, and weaponry at the expo. Photographed is a performance put on by several Su-30MK2s.

As part of the ceremony, commandos demonstrate exceptional martial arts skills, showcasing agility, endurance, and the ability to adapt to various situations.

The commandos use their necks to wrap around a steel rod multiple times. With skills developed through many years of rigorous training, these soldiers are often compared to those with ‘bodies of steel and skin of iron.’

The exercises highlight the commandos’ incredible physical strength and resilience, as well as their mental toughness, which allow them to perform feats that seem impossible to most.

Such extraordinary abilities are the result of intense discipline and dedication to mastering extreme physical challenges, enabling them to endure harsh conditions in combat.

In addition, dogs trained by the Border Guard force, will demonstrate their skills in military operations, such as detecting explosives, locating enemies, search and rescue, and even providing security during combat missions.

These highly trained dogs are known for their sharp senses and loyalty, which make them invaluable to the Vietnamese military.

Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien presents gifts to various units, encouraging them to make thorough preparations for the upcoming event.
