Da Nang poised to become central Vietnam's online export center
VOV.VN - The central city of Da Nang's Department of Industry and Trade co-hosted a workshop with Amazon Global Selling Vietnam on August 14, focusing on developing the city into an online export center for the central region.

The event was held as part of the 2026 East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade, Tourism, and Investment Fair in Da Nang.
Amid shifting global trade dynamics, online exporting enables businesses to reach international consumers directly, expand markets, build brands, and enhance product value. This model offers practical opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), production units, craft villages, and startups across the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Centrally located in Vietnam as the maritime gateway for the East-West Economic Corridor and the Central and Central Highlands regions, Da Nang holds strong advantages in sea ports, an international airport, transportation networks, and logistics infrastructure. The city is expanding its digital economy, e-commerce, information technology, and business support services to lay the groundwork for an online export ecosystem that connects regional products with global markets.
Da Nang is currently focusing on developing a Free Trade Zone, an International Financial Center, and a logistics network, gradually linking production, trade, finance, and digital technology with the global market. The workshop provided actionable guidance, skills, and solutions for listing products on international e-commerce platforms, meeting market standards, branding, marketing, order fulfillment, and international logistics.
Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, noted that the city expects online export development to open up new market opportunities for products from Da Nang and the broader Central and Central Highlands regions.
