The fair brings together nearly 250 booths from 108 domestic and foreign enterprises, including the active participation of six southern and central Lao provinces, including Attapeu, Champasak, Sekong, Salavan, Savannakhet, and Khammouane. The event also draws participation from diplomatic and trade missions representing nine countries, including Myanmar, Italy, the UK, Cambodia, China, Japan, Laos, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Side activities feature displays of typical OCOP (One Commune One Product) and rural industrial products, tourism services, investment projects, alongside Da Nang’s high-tech and industrial zones. The fair also hosts the cross-border connectivity and trade facilitation discussion, the Da Nang International Logistics Forum 2026, and a seminar positioning Da Nang as Central Vietnam’s cross-border e-commerce export hub.

Evolving from the 2007 EWEC Week, the annual fair has steadily expanded in scale and quality, establishing itself as a flagship trade promotion event in the Central and Central Highlands regions.

Phan Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee, emphasized that as the eastern terminus of the EWEC, Da Nang holds a strategic position connecting the Mekong sub-region with the East Sea and international shipping routes.

He noted that the event deepens friendship, mutual understanding, and trust among EWEC nations and regional partners, expressing confidence that the fair will boost new partnerships, commercial contracts, and long-term investment commitments.

As part of the 2026 National Trade Promotion Program, the annual EWEC Fair aims to highlight the socio-economic, investment, trade, and tourism potential of localities along the corridor to international organizations and investors.

Originating from the 2007 East-West Economic Corridor Week, the EWEC - Da Nang 2026 has continued to expand in scale and improve in quality, gradually establishing itself as one of the Central and Central Highlands region’s leading international trade promotion events.
