2026 Indo-Pacific Economic Corridor Forum bound for Da Nang in August
VOV.VN - Around 400-500 domestic and international delegates are expected to attend the 2026 Indo-Pacific Economic Corridor Forum set to take place in Da Nang City on August 13.
As part of the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Fair-Da Nang 2026, the forum is jointly organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee.
During the gathering, policymakers, experts and business leaders will discuss emerging trends in global trade, supply chain development and next-generation economic corridors. One of the key topics will be strengthening connectivity between the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC), India, ASEAN and major international trade routes.
Participants will also examine strategic issues such as the role of Lien Chieu Port in attracting international shipping services, the development of cross-border and digital logistics, the creation of digital supply chains and the emergence of new logistics hubs across the region.
A dedicated session on positioning Da Nang as a logistics, trade and international transshipment hub within the Indo-Pacific Economic Corridor will focus on measures to attract cargo flows and investment capital through the city.
Delegates are expected to discuss a range of strategic initiatives, including the development of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, attracting major global shipping lines, establishing an air cargo hub, developing a Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) for Central Vietnam, and promoting green and digital logistics during the 2026–2030 period.
On the sidelines of the forum, an exhibition will showcase logistics potential as well as products and services offered by businesses, creating opportunities for investment promotion and business networking among domestic and international partners.
According to the Da Nang municipal People's Committee, the forum will serve as a platform to promote Da Nang's investment environment and introduce key infrastructure projects, including the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, Lien Chieu Port, Da Nang International Airport, Chu Lai International Airport, logistics centres and the International Financial Centre.
The city also expects the event to evolve into an annual dialogue platform supporting the development of Da Nang's logistics, trade and international services ecosystem in the years ahead.
