Conference boosts Vietnam- RoK investment and trade cooperation
VOV.VN - Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) enhanced investment and business cooperation at an investment and trade conference held at the headquarters of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Seoul on July 14 as part of a Vietnamese trade mission to the RoK.
Addressing the conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Vu Ho emphasized that bilateral relations are at their most favourable stage, underpinned by political trust, complementary economic strengths and close people-to-people ties.
Referring to recent exchanges between Party General Secretary To Lam and President Lee Jae Myung, he said both nations' leaders had reaffirmed their determination to boosting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a deeper, more substantive and more effective manner, with the economy, investment, science and technology, and innovation serving as new drivers of growth.
He added that Vietnamese ministries and agencies are working to remove institutional bottlenecks, improve the investment environment and provide greater support for businesses, while local authorities are shifting from a management-oriented approach to a service-oriented one, competing through better governance, infrastructure and human resources.

Introducing Hung Yen's investment potential, Le Quang Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen provincial People's Committee, hlighted Hung Yen as a prime example of that transformation, noting that following its administrative merger, the province remains among Vietnam's leading localities in terms of economic scale, growth and investment attraction. Its economy exceeded US$12 billion in 2025, while growth surpassed 10% in the first half of 2026, ranking fifth among the country's 34 provinces and centrally governed cities. He said improving infrastructure, strong connectivity and a business-friendly administration that considers business success a measure of its effectiveness have helped make Hung Yen an increasingly attractive destination for investors.
The Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK will continue working closely with KOTRA, relevant ministries, agencies and localities, including Hung Yen province, to strengthen links with Korean corporations, business associations and investment funds, helping turning today's opportunities into concrete projects and practical results, Vu Ho added.
