Vietnam, China artists to share stage in Hanoi music exchange
VOV.VN - Vietnamese and Chinese artists will come together for a joint concert at Hanoi’s Ho Guom Opera on October 1 to mark the 77th anniversary of China’s National Day and highlight artistic exchanges between the two countries.
The programme will begin at 8 p.m. and be jointly organised by the Embassy of China in Vietnam, Ho Guom Opera House and the National Centre for the Performing Arts of China.
It will feature works by Vietnamese and Chinese composers alongside classics from the international repertoire. Through music, the programme will provide a platform for artistic exchange and interaction between performers and audiences from the two countries.
Performers include Meritorious Artist Co Huy Hung, pianist Vu Ngoc Linh, trumpeter Wang Yubing, singers Nguyen Truong Linh and Dao Mac, soprano Zhou Xiaolin and tenor Wang Chong. They will perform with the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra and choirs from the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet and the People’s Public Security Arts Theatre.
The orchestra will be conducted by Tran Nhat Minh, with Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy serving as artistic and general director.
The programme is overseen by Wang Ning, chairman of the World Theatre Alliance and director of the National Centre for the Performing Arts of China, and Major General and Meritorious Artist Nguyen Cong Bay, deputy head of the Department of Political Affairs at the Ministry of Public Security and director of Ho Guom Opera.
The concert is anticipated to build on ongoing cultural and artistic exchanges between Vietnam and China, using music to deepen ties and foster greater understanding between the two peoples.
