VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia organized a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration on the evening of September 25 (local time) for children of diplomatic staff, agency personnel, and the overseas Vietnamese community.

This is an annual event aimed at caring for the spiritual life of the younger generation while preserving and spreading traditional national cultural values abroad.

In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi extended his best wishes to all children. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of nurturing their souls, helping young people living abroad stay connected to their roots and understand the cultural beauty of their homeland.

Notably, this year's program featured the participation and live performance of a working delegation from the Hanoi College of Art, led by Rector Vu Tien Dung, who is on a working trip to Moscow.

Dr. Vu Tien Dung expressed his honor in bringing a spiritual gift from home to the children. He emphasized that through hometown melodies recreated in Moscow, the college aimed to provide a warm and loving Mid-Autumn atmosphere, contributing to solidarity among overseas compatriots while broadly introducing traditional Vietnamese art to international friends.

The artistic space of the gala received high praise for professional performances delivered by lecturers and artists from the Hanoi College of Art. Using traditional instruments such as the two-string fiddle (dan nhi), bamboo flute, monochord (dan bau), and bamboo xylophone (T'rưng), the artists vividly recreated musical works bearing distinct regional characteristics of Vietnam.

In particular, the familiar Russian melody of the song "Nomadic Love Song" performed on traditional Vietnamese instruments received warm applause from the audience.

Within the framework of the program, the organizers also held a trivia quiz exploring the legends and the significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The gala concluded with traditional Mid-Autumn celebrations featuring mooncakes and a five-fruit tray.
