Hanoi to stage National Day fireworks on September 2
VOV.VN - Hanoi is set to become a major destination during the National Day holiday, with fireworks and a range of cultural and artistic activities planned across the city.
The main highlight will be a 15-minute fireworks display from 9 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2, with five firing sites arranged across the capital city.
Two sites will be located near the former Hanoi Moi newspaper office and Hanoi Post Office in Hoan Kiem Ward. Another will be on Dua Islet in Thong Nhat Park in Hai Ba Trung Ward, while additional sites will be set up at the F1 racetrack in the National Sports Complex in Tu Liem Ward and at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden in Tay Ho Ward.
For visitors from other parts of Vietnam and international travelers, the multiple viewing locations offer more options to combine the fireworks with sightseeing and other holiday activities.
National Day celebrations in Hanoi will extend well beyond the 15-minute fireworks display, with a series of performances planned before and during September 2.
In central Hanoi, Hoan Kiem Ward will host a large-scale artistic programme on September 1 and 2 at Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden.
On September 2, other artistic performances will be held at My Dinh Stadium Square, Thong Nhat Park and Lac Long Quan Flower Garden.
Additional programmes are scheduled on August 31 in Dan Phuong, Minh Chau, Bat Trang and Dai Xuyen, while Phuc Son will host a performance on September 2.
Together, the events give visitors the opportunity to combine historical and cultural attractions with festive activities, rather than making the fireworks the sole focus of their holiday itinerary.
With major celebrations spread across the city, Hanoi is offering visitors a chance to experience National Day not only through an evening of fireworks, but also through the capital’s history, culture and public festivities.
