DIFF 2026’s fourth competition night to feature Germany-Macau face-off
VOV.VN - After three spectacular competition nights, excitement from the Japan-Italy contest remains strong as attention turns to the fourth competition night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, scheduled for June 20 under the theme “Creativity”.
Widely seen as one of the most anticipated nights of this year’s festival, the event will feature two experienced fireworks teams from Germany and Macau (China), representing contrasting artistic styles from Europe and Asia.
Germany’s Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke GmbH & Co. KG will present “Pyrographics,” or “Painting with Fire,” combining traditional fireworks with advanced programming technology, music and lighting effects to create striking images in the night sky.
Meanwhile, Macau-based Apple Pyrotechnics will showcase a display rooted in Eastern cultural identity. Inspired by the classic novel Journey to the West, the team aims to take audiences on a vivid artistic journey through a blend of fireworks, music and new-generation visual effects.
The team also hopes to use music as a bridge to convey the spirit of the story and introduce distinctive cultural values to international audiences.
The contrast in artistic approaches is expected to make the competition especially compelling. While the German team is known for precision, modern techniques and visual design, the Macau team stands out for its cultural depth and emotionally driven storytelling.
In recent days, the festival atmosphere has continued to spread across Da Nang, with visitor numbers rising in the city centre and at popular fireworks viewing spots along the Han River during weekends.
DIFF has further cemented its position as one of the city’s signature tourism events, helping enhance Da Nang’s appeal as a travel destination.
Under this year’s festival theme, “Da Nang- Connecting Horizons,” the “Creativity” night is expected to deliver new artistic experiences, where fireworks bridge culture, technology and imagination.
