This was emphasized by President Nguyen Minh Triet and Thongvin Phovihane, widow of the late Party General Secretary and President of Laos Kaysone Phomvihane, during their meeting in Hanoi on August 17.
They appreciated the significant development of bilateral economic cooperation and trade in recent years.
The regular exchange of visits by leaders of both countries and an increasing presence of Vietnamese investors in Laos shows of the two parties and states are determined to promote mutual cooperation and assistance for the better of economic development, national construction and better livelihood, they said.
