Vietnam's passport slips two places in 2026 global ranking
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s passport has slipped two places to 72nd in the 2026 global passport ranking, sharing the position with Zimbabwe and Uzbekistan, Thai newspaper Khaosod reported on September 29.
In Southeast Asia, Malaysia rose one place to share second position with Singapore, behind only the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which retained the top spot. Thailand ranked 53rd globally alongside Vanuatu.
Spain ranked third globally, while 16 countries shared fourth place, including Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Portugal, Austria, Norway, Ireland and Japan.
The United Kingdom ranked seventh, Canada and New Zealand shared eighth place, while the United States came in 10th.
The 2026 ranking assesses passports based on the number of destinations holders can access through visa-free entry, visa on arrival and other facilitated entry arrangements.
