Scoot Airlines proposed to launch Da Lat-Singapore route in December
VOV.VN - Lien Khuong International Airport has proposed that Scoot Airlines bring forward the launch of its Da Lat-Singapore route to December 2026 to meet expected higher travel demand during the Da Lat Flower Festival.
Nguyen Van Hung, director of Lien Khuong International Airport, said launching the route before the Da Lat Flower Festival would strengthen Lam Dong’s international air connectivity during a period when tourism demand is expected to rise. It would also give the route time to build up its market presence ahead of the early-year travel season and the Lunar New Year holiday.
The proposal follows a site survey by a Scoot Airlines delegation at Lien Khuong Airport. During the field trip, the team inspected the passenger terminal, check-in areas, aircraft apron and facilities serving international flights.
Airport authorities also discussed with Scoot arrangements for handling the flights, including immigration procedures, aviation security, customs and international health quarantine.
Scoot has planned to launch the Da Lat-Singapore service on January 25, 2027, with three weekly round trips on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. If Lien Khuong’s proposal is approved, the route would begin operating in December 2026, about one month earlier than initially scheduled.
The service is expected to provide a direct international air link between Lam Dong and Singapore, giving passengers an additional travel option while strengthening tourism, trade and investment connections between the two markets.
An earlier launch could also help meet travel demand during the Da Lat Flower Festival and provide additional room for the air travel and tourism markets between Lam Dong and Singapore to grow in the period ahead.
