VOV.VN - Vietnam’s tourist town of Sa Pa in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai has been ranked third on the list of top 28 offbeat honeymoon destinations in the world for this year’s trip, by Indian website Travel Triangle.

According to the website, Sa Pa, tucked in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range of northwestern Vietnam, is a popular destination for trekking and is a perfect place for the couples who seek adventurous activities in a new place.

“Overlooking the terraced paddy cultivation, Sa Pa is a serene-yet-colourful countryside that is perfect for a secluded honeymoon. After exploring the place, you will realize that it is one of the unique honeymoon destinations in the world”, says Travel Triangle.

It also notes that the best time to visit Sa Pa is from March and May and September to November.

Sumba Island of Indonesia topped the list thanks to its natural beauty, private surf breaks and world-class fishing.

Rounding off the list were Kepulauan Seribu of Indonesia, Hainan Island of China, Lakshadweep of India, Pamalican Island of the Philippines, Vermont and Aspen of the United States, and Panajachel of Guatemala.
