With the supply of goods from open-air markets dwindling due torrential rains in the past few days, the number of customers to supermarkets has risen sharply.

Nguyen Thai Dung, deputy director of Big C Thang Long Supermarket said its storehouses still have enough goods worth VND20 billion for sale.

The supply of fresh food may see a shortage of up to 50 percent in the next few days but there will be more goods coming from Da Lat, Sa Pa and Dien Bien.

Vu Thi Hau, deputy director of Nhat Nam Joint Stock Company affirms that most supermarkets have goods in stock for customers despite crop damage caused by the recent huge storms.
