VOV.VN - Vietnam Airlines has been named one of HR Asia's Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2026, in recognition of the national carrier 's efforts to build a people-centered workplace and foster sustainable human resource development.

The award was presented by HR Asia magazine on July 9 as part of the annual HR Asia Awards, one of the region's most prestigious human resources award programmes held across more than 10 countries and territories. Winners are selected through independent employee surveys assessing staff engagement, corporate culture, workplace quality and talent development policies.

The 2026 edition, the awards' 13th, was held under the theme "People First Always," highlighting the critical role of employees as technology and artificial intelligence continue to reshape the labor market. The recognition shows Vietnam Airlines' long-standing philosophy that its workforce is its most valuable asset.

Throughout its development, the airline has regarded investment in people as a core value and a cornerstone of its long-term competitiveness, alongside investments in fleet modernization, technology and service quality.

"Aircraft can be purchased and technology can be upgraded, but people remain the key to an airline's sustainable competitive advantage," said Le Hong Ha, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Airlines.

"We have consistently invested in building a highly skilled workforce with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to meet increasingly demanding international standards. The HR Asia award recognizes the direction we have pursued for many years," Ha emphasized.

The HR Asia recognition adds to a series of international accolades Vietnam Airlines has received since the beginning of 2026 across service quality, corporate governance, operational performance, digital transformation and brand development.

In the service category, AirlineRatings ranked Vietnam Airlines among the World's Top 25 Full-Service Airlines and honored it with the World's Best Value Business Class Product and World's Best Value Premium Economy Product awards. Brand Finance also placed the airline among Vietnam's Top 10 Strongest Brands in 2026.

On the corporate front, Vietnam Airlines was included in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 ranking for the third consecutive year, remaining the only Vietnamese airline to make the list's top 100 companies.

In digital transformation, the carrier received two honors at the Vietnam I4 Impact Awards 2026: the Soft Power Award for its "Fly High with Vietnam's Aspirations" campaign and the Outstanding Digital Service Award for its Vietnam Airlines Digital Sky ecosystem.

From human resource management and service quality to operational excellence and digital transformation, Vietnam Airlines has earned recognition from leading organizations throughout 2026. This demonstrates the national carrier's integrated development strategy, which places people at its core and innovation as the driving force behind its ambition to become a five-star airline before 2030.
