Two Laotians arrested for trafficking drugs into Vietnam
VOV.VN - Two Laotian nationals have been arrested while attempting to smuggle a large quantity of drugs across the border into Vietnam, according to the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province on July 22.
Preliminary reports show that at around 9:30 p.m. on July 21, border guard forces working in coordination with other relevant units stopped a suspicious four-seater car traveling on National Highway 9 near Km58+800 in Khe Sanh commune.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, which was carrying two Laotians, relevant unites discovered and seized 17 kilograms of crystal meth and 6,000 synthetic drug pills hidden in their luggage. The two suspects were taken into custody at the scene. Further investigation is currently underway.
