RoK partner supports Tay Ninh’s UAV ecosystem development
VOV.VN - Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh provincial People’s Committee Pham Tan Hoa on June 29 chaired a working session with DTONIC VINA from the Republic of Korea (RoK) to discuss plans to develop an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) ecosystem and explore investment opportunities in UAVs, artificial intelligence (AI) and strategic technologies.

At the meeting, Tay Ninh officials outlined the province’s investment environment and priorities in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, along with its strategy for building a UAV ecosystem and key policies and projects currently under study and implementation.
The RoK is one of Tay Ninh’s key investment partners. Among more than 40 countries and territories with investment projects in the province, the RoK ranks second in number of projects and fourth in total registered capital, with 298 projects worth more than US$2.36 billion.
Representatives of DTONIC VINA, a technology company specialising in UAV and AI solutions, introduced the company’s capabilities, experience and technological solutions in UAVs and AI, while proposing several investment cooperation initiatives in Tay Ninh.
The two sides also discussed the potential use of UAVs in areas such as high-tech industry, logistics, smart agriculture, resource management, environmental protection, infrastructure monitoring, search and rescue, and border management.
Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh provincial People’s Committee Pham Tan Hoa spoke highly of DTONIC VINA’s interest in Tay Ninh’s science and technology, innovation and digital transformation priorities, particularly in UAVs, AI and strategic technologies. He said Tay Ninh always welcomes capable enterprises with advanced technologies to explore, cooperate and invest in the province.
According to provincial leaders, developing a UAV ecosystem is one of Tay Ninh’s breakthrough priorities to advance science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, while supporting high-tech industry, logistics, smart agriculture, resource management, environmental protection, infrastructure monitoring, search and rescue, and border management.
The two sides agreed to further explore cooperation in several key areas, including the establishment of an international-standard UAV testing, training and certification centre; development of an unmanned traffic management (UTM) platform; workforce training and technology transfer; and investment in an integrated complex for UAV research, production, assembly, testing and application in Tay Ninh.
Provincial agencies will continue coordinating with DTONIC VINA to review specific cooperation proposals in line with legal regulations and Tay Ninh’s development priorities.
