Press Centre opens for national exhibition on Vietnam’s 80-year development journey
VOV.VN - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with relevant agencies, inaugurated the Press Center for the upcoming national exhibition titled “80 Years of the Journey for Independence – Freedom – Happiness” at the Vietnam National Exposition Centre in Hanoi on August 22.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasised that the exhibition, scheduled from August 28 to September 5, holds great significance in honouring the country’s history and showcasing the achievements of the Party, the State, and the people over the past eight decades of national construction, defence, and development.
He underlined the exhibition’s role in affirming the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the governance of the State, and the solidarity and creativity of the people in driving the country’s progress.
“This exhibition is not just a space to admire valuable artifacts, documents, and images, but also a place to present the country’s development milestones,” he said. “It allows citizens, especially the younger generation, to relive historical moments, gain a deeper understanding of the values of independence and freedom, and appreciate the Vietnamese people’s aspirations, determination, and wisdom.”
The Deputy Minister also stressed the important role of media coverage in ensuring the success of the exhibition. The Press Centre will serve as a hub for coordinating media activities related to the exhibition, providing support and optimal working conditions for both domestic and international journalists.
He affirmed that the Ministry would create the best possible environment for reporters to cover the exhibition, thereby contributing to its overall success and to the broader celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).
Running from August 28 to September 5, the exhibition will highlight Vietnam’s major achievements across various sectors over the past 80 years, aiming to foster national pride and inspire future generations. It also serves to introduce Vietnam’s transformation to the international community, presenting a dynamic, innovative, and deeply integrated country on the global stage.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge.
