VOV.VN - Vietnam and China have affirmed their determination to further deepen relations between the two Parties and countries, enhance mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote peace, stability, and development in the region and across the world.

At a reception on September 30 evening celebrating the 77th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China (October 1, 1949-October 1, 2026) hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh warmly congratulated the Party, State, and people of China on their great achievements in national construction and development.

Notably, over the past decade, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China Central Committee with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping at its core, China has successfully built a moderately prosperous society in all respects, brought a prosperous and happy life to its people, continuously advanced the country's strength and power, and played an increasingly important role in global security, development, civilization, and governance.

Minister Lam Thi Phuong Thanh emphasized the long-standing traditional friendship of "comrades and brothers" between the two Parties, countries, and peoples, meticulously cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong, which has become a precious common asset of both nations. The two Parties and countries share the common perception that developing sound Vietnam-China relations is a strategic choice for both sides. She stressed that the Party and State of Vietnam always consistently prioritize this relationship and are determined to work with the Party and State of China to further deepen bilateral ties.

Appreciating the strong, substantive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam-China relations in accordance with the strategic orientations of the top leaders of both sides, Minister Lam Thi Phuong Thanh affirmed that on each nation's new development path, the Party, State, and people of Vietnam stand ready to walk alongside, support one another, and develop together with the Party, State, and people of China. They are committed to joining hands with other countries to promote multilateralism, international solidarity and cooperation, and respond effectively to common challenges, making active contributions to regional and global peace, stability, cooperation, and development.

In his remarks at the reception, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Wang Qun reviewed the tremendous achievements attained by the Party, State, and people of China over the past 77 years. He emphasized that China pursues development oriented toward openness, innovation, and peace, and stands ready to accompany other countries, share development opportunities, and make active contributions to global security, development, civilization, and governance for a better world and human progress.

Regarding relations with Vietnam, Wang Qun stressed that China and Vietnam are socialist neighbors with mountains and rivers connected. The two peoples have stood in solidarity and closely bonded from the revolutionary years of national liberation struggle to the current endeavor of national modernization. He affirmed that under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, China-Vietnam relations have continued to develop strongly and achieve encouraging milestones across various fields, bringing practical benefits to the two nations’ people.

Underscoring the significance of the highly successful state visit to China in April 2026 by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam, Wang Qun assessed that bilateral relations are in a very favorable development phase. He affirmed that standing at a new historical starting point, China is ready to accompany Vietnam, spare no effort for the cause of industrialization, modernization, and socialist construction in both countries, inject momentum into each country's development through high-quality, mutually beneficial cooperation, and write a new chapter in building a China-Vietnam Community with a shared future of strategic significance at a higher level.
