PM Hung: Task performance outcomes serve as key benchmark for cadre evaluation
VOV.VN - Task performance outcomes must be strictly tied to cadre evaluation, serving as the foundation for appointing and rotating officials while eliminating avoidance and the fear of responsibility, emphasized Prime Minister and Secretary of the Government Party Committee Le Minh Hung at a conference in Hanoi on October 1 to review third-quarter performance for 2026.
Highlighting the implementation of the 14th National Party Congress Resolution, central resolutions, and directives from the Politburo, Secretariat, and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam, PM Le Minh Hung noted that personnel work has undergone strong reforms, incorporating continuous, periodic evaluations tightly aligned with task outcomes.
Stressing that work performance serves as the most critical basis for arranging, utilizing, rotating, planning, appointing, transferring, and reassigning officials, the Government chief stated that the Government Party Committee prioritizes breakthroughs in cadre evaluation and appointment, particularly by accurately assessing task results and decisively eliminating egalitarianism, avoidance, deflection, and the fear of responsibility.
"Given the heavy workload and tight schedules facing the Government Party Committee and affiliated ministry-level Party committees, personnel evaluation must be conducted regularly with utmost impartiality and objectivity while resolving avoidance and the fear of responsibility," he emphasized.
The Prime Minister requested that personnel evaluations adhere strictly to the principles of democratic centralism, collective leadership coupled with individual responsibility, unity, and proper authority, noting that levels managing and assigning tasks are responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and proposing rating decisions.
The conference was conducted rigorously in accordance with democratic centralism, collective leadership, individual responsibility, and decentralized authority.
