Mr Kien was speaking at a conference held in Hanoi on June 2. He emphasised that the whole political system and agencies at all levels were actively engaged in disseminating information about the importance of the event.
Nguyen Sy Dung, Deputy Chairman of the NA Office, said the dissemination of information had encouraged voters nationwide to cast their ballots at the same time to elect deputies to the NA and People's Councils.
He highlighted the media’s role in ensuring democracy in the elections, saying that both local and foreign media agencies had closely followed and widely covered the event.
