VOV.VN - Two leading Japanese culinary and service experts will attend "Taste of Japan 2026" from August 13 to 19 in Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ha Long.

This year's edition, organized by Japanese restaurant chain Hatoyama under the theme "Seasonal Harmony - Weaving Exquisite Flavors," receives support from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

For the first time, Japanese Culinary Culture Ambassador Tomisawa Hirokazu partners with hospitality expert Hando Tomoi to offer Vietnamese diners an authentic experience combining Japanese Kaiseki cuisine with Omotenashi hospitality.

Launched in 2023 to mark the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations, "Taste of Japan" has expanded its scope through annual editions. Following its 2025 milestone, the launch of the Vietnam Chapter under the Traditional Japanese Culinary Research Association, the 2026 event continues to receive support from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Ambassador Tomisawa Hirokazu, President of the Tokyo Chefs Association and Vice President of the Traditional Japanese Culinary Research Association, brings over 42 years of experience to introduce Hatoyama's autumn menu inspired by the philosophy of seasonal ingredients (Shun).

During the event, on behalf of the Japan Professional Chefs Association, Chef Tomisawa will present the "Association Instructor" certification to two Vietnamese head chefs from Hatoyama, Chef Nguyen Van Cuong (Kyo Nguyen) and Chef Nguyen Ba Phuoc (Fuku Nguyen). This marks the first time Vietnamese chefs have received this recognition.

Accompanying Chef Tomisawa, service expert Hando Tomoi, drawing on three decades of high-end service management in Tokyo's Ginza and Roppongi districts, will introduce standardized Omotenashi service protocols across Hatoyama’s dining venues.
