The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is within the framework of "Vietnam Days in France 2026" and marks the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-UNESCO relations.
The cultural diplomacy event takes place under the patronage of Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam.
Performances will be hosted at prominent cultural venues across Paris, including the Marigny Theater, Le Grand Rex, Le Carreau du Temple, Bastille Square, and the Vietnam Cultural Center in France.
The program includes water puppetry; the play "Soul of Truong Ba, Butcher's Skin" directed by French director Anne Bouvier and performed by Vietnamese artists; the "Vietnam Night: From Heritage to Contemporary" program featuring Cheo (traditional operetta), Tuong (classical drama), Cai Luong (reformed theater), and contemporary dance; and "Truong Chi" performed by the French Winterreise theater company.
The opening ceremony, featuring "Soul of Truong Ba, Butcher's Skin," is scheduled for October 26 at the Marigny Theater, while the "Vietnam Night" program will take place on October 28 at Le Grand Rex, with the participation of senior leaders.
