"Sac Viet" Ao Dai collection shines in India's Uttar Pradesh
VOV.VN - At the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 in India, artisan and designer Doan Trang introduced her "Sac Viet" (Colors of Vietnam) Ao Dai collection, bringing traditional heritage and cultural values to international friends.
Hailing from Hue, designer Doan Trang successfully combines exquisite manual embroidery techniques with contemporary fashion perspectives. The collection harmonizes the graceful silhouette of the traditional tunic with motifs symbolizing Vietnamese nature and culture, crafted from premium silk materials. The designs maintain an elegant, modest form, highlighting the natural curves and confidence of women from both countries while offering high applicability.
Presented in a vibrant exhibition space, Vietnamese and Indian models gracefully displayed the traditional garments to the accompaniment of Vietnamese folk music, captivating international spectators with their sophistication and refinement.
Speaking at the event, designer Doan Trang emphasized her mission to elevate the beauty of Vietnamese culture globally, affirming that the Ao Dai is not merely attire but a symbol of national pride and the soul of Vietnamese women.
Prior to India, Doan Trang's heritage- and royal-inspired collections were successfully presented in France, the Netherlands, and various Hue Festivals. These traditional tunics continue to serve as a cultural bridge, bringing the quintessence of Vietnamese culture closer to international friends and leaving a lasting impression on both domestic and foreign audiences.
