Runner-up Do Cam Ly selected to wear Vietnam sash at Miss Cosmo 2026
VOV.VN - After weeks of speculation among pageant fans, Miss Cosmo Vietnam has announced that Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 runner-up Do Cam Ly will represent Vietnam at Miss Cosmo 2026, becoming the country’s next delegate to the international beauty competition.
The announcement was made on June 10, ending widespread speculation over who would wear the Vietnam sash after Miss Cosmo Vietnam decided not to hold a national competition in 2026.
Cam Ly, 23 hailing from Phu Tho province is 1.73m tall and has measurements of 88-61-97 cm. She graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities under Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
The beauty impressed the public with her beautiful figure, excellent performance skills, and positive energy. Many fans give her the affectionate nickname "the runner-up with the most beautiful smile".
Ly is expected to contribute to spreading the image of a modern Vietnamese woman at Miss Cosmo 2026.
“I am very proud to represent Vietnam at Miss Cosmo 2026. This is also an opportunity to connect with the world and introduce a modern and dynamic country,” she shared.
According to organisers, Cam Ly’s preparation for the competition will follow a comprehensive training programme under the guidance of Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau, National Director of Miss Cosmo Vietnam.
Ngoc Chau said she would work closely with Cam Ly to enhance her skills, refine her performance and develop a competition strategy aimed at achieving a strong result on the international stage.
Previously, the organizers confirmed that the Miss Cosmo Vietnam pageant would not be held in 2026, and the new season is expected to start in 2027. The beauty contest will be organized biennially to ensure quality and allow the winner to fulfill her duties and contribute to the community.
Last year in the grand finale held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 20, Yolina Lindquist from the US was crowned Miss Cosmo 2025. Vietnamese representative Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh finished in the Top 10.
