Kyushu Symphony Orchestra to perform at Ho Guom Opera House
VOV.VN - The Kyushu Symphony Orchestra (KSO), one of Japan’s long-established symphony orchestras, will perform at the Ho Guom Opera House on October 24 and 25, bringing Hanoi audiences two special evenings of music titled “Celebration of Life”.
Under the baton of Conductor Gen Ohta, with soprano Michiko Hariu and tenor Kohei Yamamoto, the concerts will take audiences on an expressive musical journey, from the elegant, graceful and dramatic arias and duets of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to the expansive, warm and profound beauty of Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73.
“Celebration of Life” is not only an opportunity to experience masterpieces by Mozart and Brahms, but also a chance for Vietnamese audiences to enjoy a live performance by Japanese musicians. The concert also contributes to cultural exchange and connection alongside bringing the timeless values of symphonic music closer to the public.
The concerts will also feature two experienced opera singers Michiko Hariu and Kohei Yamamoto. The two artists have received numerous Japanese and international awards and have made their mark through various roles in classic operas.
The Kyushu Symphony Orchestra was established in Fukuoka in 1953 and has become one of Japan's leading symphony orchestras. It performs over 130 concerts annually, and helps to introduce symphonic music to the public while expanding international artistic exchange and collaboration.
