Hanoi to stage a series of art programmes for National Day celebrations
VOV.VN - A series of cultural and artistic programmes will be held across Hanoi to mark the 81st anniversary of August Revolution and National Day (September 2), aiming to create a festive atmosphere during the major national celebrations.
According to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, six art programmes will take place simultaneously at various locations across the city at 8 p.m. on August 19.
The Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre will perform in Ngoc Hoi commune; the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theatre will bring a performance to Quang Minh commune; the Hanoi Cheo Theatre will hold an art programme in Binh Minh commune. Performances of the Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre and the Hanoi Drama Theatre will be held in Hat Mon and Ba Vi communes, respectively.
At the same time, the Thang Long Song, Dance, and Music Theatre will host an art performance at the pedestrian zone on Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hai Ba Trung ward. It’s expected to create an additional cultural and artistic venue for residents and tourists to enjoy during the National Day celebrations.
On the evening of September 1, the Thang Long Song, Dance, and Music Theatre and the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theatre will continue to stage performances in Dan Phuong and Minh Chau communes.
Various art programmes will be held across different localities on September 2. In particular, the Hanoi Cheo Theater will perform at the Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden in Hoan Kiem ward.
The Hanoi Drama Theatre, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre, the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre will entertain audiences in Phuc Son, Bat Trang and Dai Xuyen communes.
The art programmes will feature performances praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and the nation's revolutionary struggle traditions, while highlighting the historical significance of the August Revolution in 1945 and National Day (September 2).
They aim to honour the Vietnamese homeland, country, and people; showcase the heroic cultural heritage of Thang Long - Hanoi; promote the image of the civilized and modern capital city; and reflect the achievements of the nation and Hanoi in particular in the process of renewal, integration, and development.
They are expected to create a joyful and festive atmosphere, and foster patriotism, national pride, solidarity and aspirations for building a prosperous Vietnam in the new era.
