VOV.VN - Eight towering horse figures, each nearly 10 meters tall, are among the most eye-catching installations drawing residents and visitors to check in at the flower and light technology boulevard along Ha Long Bay in northern Quang Ninh province.

The flower boulevard and light-technology display along the shore of the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay officially open to residents and visitors during the Tet holiday, from February 15 to 22, 2026, at the October 30 Square-provincial museum-library complex in Quang Ninh (Ha Long Ward).

This marks the first time Quang Ninh has staged a flower boulevard and light-technology display under the theme “Heritage Spring – Digital Wonder,” an artistic space where spring blossoms blend with modern lighting technology to reflect the province’s core values: beautiful nature, distinctive culture, a civilized society, transparent administration, economic development and people’s well-being.

The most prominent feature among the decorative installations is the “Eight Horses” model, depicting eight galloping horses symbolizing success in the new year.

The horse motif, representing the Year of the Horse, is also expressed through clusters of fresh flowers in a range of vivid colors.

The boulevard’s design blends natural heritage elements such as mountains, the sea and flowers with lighting technology. Clusters of apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, chrysanthemums, azaleas and poinsettias are arranged by theme, creating floral displays that evoke the atmosphere of a traditional Tet.

Visitors pass through light tunnels formed by a system of 40 LED arches programmed for continuous movement. The multicolored LED arches function as visual elements and a metaphor for the digital era.

Favorable weather in the final days of the year has made it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy spring outings and take in the flower boulevard.

Foreign visitors also take the opportunity to experience a Vietnamese Tet amid a profusion of flowers.

The site will also host activities recreating the traditional Tet cultural space of ethnic communities in Quang Ninh, alongside cultural events, artistic performances, folk games, cuisine and recreational activities for residents and visitors during the holiday.

In the longer term, Quang Ninh plans to develop the flower boulevard and light-technology display along the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay into an annual cultural tourism product, conceived as a creative meeting point that brings together contemporary aesthetics, local cultural identity and modern performance technology, contributing to improved visitor experiences and the wider promotion of the province’s image.
