The event is part of endeavours to strengthen the traditional friendship, deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China, and contribute to promoting peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and around the world.

At the opening ceremony, deputy general director of Vietnam News Agency Nguyen Hoai Duong said that Vietnam and China highlighted the long-lasting traditional friendship, saying the two peoples have stood side by side during past struggles for national independence and in the current national construction process. Bilateral relations have witnessed significant progress.

The two sides have also maintained high-ranking exchange visits of Party and State leaders. Particularly, the upcoming visit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping to Vietnam to attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week is an important landmark in the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, he said.

Media agencies of both countries have cooperated in providing mutual support to fulfill their information dissemination tasks assigned by the two Parties and States. The exhibition is proof of the effective cooperation between Vietnam Pictorial and China Pictorial, Mr. Duong added.

The exhibition will run through November 15.
